Hello Kentfield School District Parents,
This year we are faced with a budget challenge like no other time. Dramatic cuts are being made to our District budget, and our schools will be different when we return in the Fall. As enrollment continues to rise and funding shrinks, the enriched education we have provided for years is at risk.
This type of crisis challenges us to define who we are and how far we are willing to go to stand behind our children and values.
We are asking that every family respond to make sure we are clear about what you value, so that the Foundation may properly represent you. The future of our schools lies in our hands.
YOU will determine the Foundation's donation to the District for the 2009/2010 school year so we can fund the best possible education for our children.
We need to hear from you, so that we can commit a donation amount to the District's budget.
EVERY DOLLAR counts and EVERY DONATION matters!
Because the District will be fashioning the leanest possible budget, you can be sure that your dollars will be used efficiently, and in the areas you care about most: providing excellent teachers and an enriched education to our children.
