While we have made great strides in meeting our goal for the district, we still have a long way to go. This is the first of three years of a 'budget storm' which will affect our funding from the State of California, which represents about 8% of our overall district budget. And funding for 2010-11 is just as precarious as this year. In addition, our property taxes – which progressed at a healthy rate as recently as two years ago – are essentially flat. Combine all of these facts with rising enrollment and we have 'the perfect storm'. So, we are asking every family to contribute to the level at which they are comfortable - invest in your kids!
